The 6th Annual National Content Conference.

Uganda’s oil and gas sector is moving on an upward trajectory; from the infrastructure development and now on to the production phase.

At the 6th Annual National Content Conference 2025, convened by the Petroleum Authority of Uganda, stakeholders converged at Kampala city on 3rd and 4th December 2025 and shared in this journey;the hurdles, the gains and the way forward.

Prand Engineering Limited was honored by the invite to reflect on the journey so far, sharing insights from our experience and contributing to the national dialogue on how national content can drive sustainable growth.

Among key stakeholders present included UNOC-Uganda National Oil Corporation, Bank of Uganda, Ministry of energy and mineral development. Other stakeholders included Total Energies Ltd, East African Crude Oil Pipeline and financiers like Stanbic Bank.

The theme for this year’s conference was, ‘Beyond Drilling: Cultivating a Legacy of Empowered Nationals and Enterprises in Uganda’s Oil Age’.

The key note speaker, Governor of the Bank of Uganda, Mr. Ernest Rubondo stressed on the need to build a legacy as a country and a region even as we begin production of the first oil.

“During this conference, our speakers will explore the opportunities and expectations in the production phase, share experiences of companies implementing national content, and highlight available financing options for Ugandan entities.” Mr. Rubondo said.

As Prand Engineering Limited and as a 100% Ugandan company we take pride in this development. The collaboration from the different industry players since our inception at Tilenga in 2021 has not only elevated our capacity but also improved our rating.

As the main sub-contractor of the high stake, $150 M, Hoima City Stadium constructed in record 15months, we have demonstrated capacity to compete as tier one contractors in the new areas of exploration.

Beyond the drill, we are building a legacy that will ensure technology transfer, upskilling and employment and the capacity building of local institutions in the oil age.
